Between September and October, Barranquesa took part in three key events for the global wind sector: the Nordex Group Global Sourcing Supplier Conference in Chicago, WindEnergy Hamburg and Windergy India in Chennai. Three continents, one goal: to stay close to our customers and partners wherever wind energy is being built.

Nordex Supplier Conference, Chicago (9th of September)

In September, our colleague Irene travelled to Chicago for the Nordex Group Global Sourcing Supplier Conference 2026. The meeting brought together Nordex’s key suppliers to share the company’s sourcing strategy and the outlook for the coming years.

For Barranquesa, it was a valuable opportunity to strengthen our long-standing relationship with Nordex and to align on the needs of upcoming projects, with a particular focus on the North American market.

WindEnergy Hamburg (22–25 September)

Later in the month we travelled to WindEnergy Hamburg, the leading global trade fair for the onshore and offshore wind industry. The fair brings together more than 1,600 exhibitors and visitors from around 100 countries at the Hamburg Messe.

From our stand in Hall B2, we met customers, suppliers and new contacts to talk about upcoming projects and how we can support them. It was also a great opportunity to present the full range of steel products we manufacture for the wind industry.

Windergy India, Chennai (7–9 October)

In October we closed the season at Windergy India 2026, the country’s dedicated wind energy trade fair, held at the Chennai Trade Centre. Organised by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA), this 8th edition focused on local manufacturing, supply-chain resilience and India’s goal of 100 GW of wind capacity by 2030.

Our stand in Hall 1 was full of visitors and customers throughout the three days. India is a strategic market for Barranquesa: since opening our factory there in 2024, we have been building a local supply chain to serve the country’s leading turbine manufacturers.
