Industrial Barranquesa will open its fourth production plant in India in the last quarter of 2024

The fourth plant that Industrial Barranquesa will open in India in 2024 will be located in the Greenbase Industrial Park in Chennai. Chennai is a key area in the development of wind energy, where major OEMs in the sector such as Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, or Nordex, and the entire associated supply chain can be found.

In early 2024, the first addition occurred with Rajeev Okhlandiar, who will be the new General Manager of Barranquesa India Pvt Ltd. Rajeev thus becomes the first employee and the visible face of this new company.

Halfway between India and Spain will be Mikel Arzallus Marco, the current Project Manager at the Pamplona plant, who will oversee the entire implementation of Barranquesa’s production processes in India. Manuel Turiel, CEO of Barranquesa, on the new plant: “Mikel Arzallus will be our expatriate in the new plant and will be the link that transfers the culture and know-how of Barranquesa’s factories to the India plant. We want to implement our way of doing things and providing service.”

Industrial Barranquesa is making a strong commitment to India, which strongly supports the deployment of wind energy and is a strategic point for serving export markets. As Manuel Turiel has pointed out, it is a very important challenge and a source of pride for the Navarre-based company: “We are proud to be part of this country’s ambition for renewable energies and to continue contributing our bit to achieve a more sustainable and zero-emission future for everyone. We really need it.”
